Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in West Virginia

Am I Being sexually Harassed?

I am a 25 year old female who is married and has two small kids. I have been employed at the present job for about 8 months. I really like the job other than one thing, I have a woman constantly accusing me of wanting or flirting with her married boyfriend. This makes me very nervous. It use to be that she would mubble things like ''I will kick any ones butt if they try to come near him.'' But last week she called me at work asking me why her boyfriend is up my butt, accusing me of talking about her, and saying that I dont talk to him because something is going on. I think that she has emotional problems. I reported the phone call to the boss and he said that he would talk to her. I am now feeling anxiety about the job. My qeustion is, is this the start of harassment, should I just try to find a new job?

Re: Am I Being sexually Harassed?

What you have described is not sexual harassment as defined under federal law and if your boss is unable to ameliorate the situation which you find that uncomfortable, then, yes, you should be looking for another job.
