Re: inheritance law for intestate individual

If your friend was a resident of West Virginia the personal property is distributed according to a table of intestate succession. The distribution depends upon whether the person is married, and how many children the decedent had and whether all the children are with the current spouse. If there are no children and no spouse, the estate goes to the parents then to the siblings. Real Estate descends according to the law where the real estate is located.
