What can I do, when I was hired at a certian pay rate but I am get paid a lower rate

If your employer has violated your employment contract, you also may be free to be released from its terms and seek work elsewhere under many commonly used forms of employment contracts. You also might be entitled to sue for breach of contract and recovery of back wages in that situation, again, depending upon details in your personal contract or collective bargaining agreement. Some courts have also given quasi-contractual effect to employer handbooks. However, if you are strictly under an employment at will arrangement, there may be little that you can do other than to seek other work at a higher pay rate and change jobs.
