Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Wisconsin

Adding new Creditors

I would like to add a new creditor to my existing chapter 7 bankruptcy. The thing is, the credit was used after we originally filed. Can we still add them or not. I can not find any laws on this and I can't find anything when doing a search as pertains to this question.

Thank you

Re: Adding New Creditors After Chapter 7 Filing

Since chapter seven filings apply only to events prior to the date of filing, it is not possible to add creditors whose debts were incurred after the filing date. Chapter 13 cases, however, do allow post petition creditors to file a claim and opt to be included in the plan payments. Chapter seven filers do have the right to convert to chapter 13 and take advantage of this possibility, although they must pay something to all creditors following such a conversion.
