non-payment of rent

i was wondering if i quit paying rent on my apartment due to the fact that my landlord has not fixed anything i have asked him to upon numerous request. is it possible to void the contract?

Re: non-payment of rent

You would first look to what your lease says, and

if you have none, look to your state law. If your

lease or the law allows your landlord some time to

fix things, he may or may not have violated your lease.

If your landlord has been the first to violate the

lease, you may then act accordingly.
