Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Wisconsin

My 11 year old daughter is being accused of "bulying" another girl at school.. There is no written documentation of this in any way, shape or form through the school which is where she is claiming this has happened. Bullying in schools is not taken lightly and I am wondering if I need to seek legal advice to protect my child from these unfounded claims.

I guess when you say that your daugher is being accused, I am not sure that that means. Did a student say that, a teacher say that, or did the school officials say that? I would certainly request that you meet with the school officials to discuss what investigation was done and why they think that your daughter is bullying another girl. If they have evidence, they will hopefully provide that to you, although, they may not provide much so as to protect the rights and confidentiality of other children. If there is a basis for you to believe that the "bullying" may have occurred, I would probably recommend seeing what the school would suggest to resolve the issue, so as to show a good faith effort on your part and your daughter's part to not have it escalate or continue. If you still believe that there is no merit to the accusations and can determine where it is coming from and why it is being claimed, you might wish to talk with the other child's parents and also put something in writing with the school to outline your "investigation" and why you believe that it is unfounded. If the claims continue, then you may need to pursue it further with an attorney's involvement.
