It may be illegal, depending upon what you mean by "threaten" and how you might be doing it. I would suggest that the better thing to do would be for your girlfriend to report the harassment to the police and/or have her obtain a restraining order against the person doing the harrassment. She can also advise the person, in writing, to stop the harrassment, so that there is written documentation of her attempts to stop the behavior. Threats on your part may only escalate the problem and may also lead to criminal or civil actions being brought against you.
