Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Wisconsin

Picture Posting

I was ticketed with shoplifting about a year ago, due to a temporary menal illness. I was informed that there are pictures of my posted on the wall at the business in plain public view which tells everyone that I was a shoplifter. I know that it was illegal to have check postings - is there anything I can do regarding this public humiliation?

Re: Picture Posting

I would believe that if there is nothing false that they are claiming about you, that the business is free to post your picture. You might wish to make sure what is actually posted, and maybe call the business owner to see if he would be willing to remove the photo and information, especially if you have reimbursed them for the stollen merchandise.
