Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Wisconsin

Looking for law firm

I was ill about 1.5 years ago where I spent 2weeks in the hospital I had no health insurance and accumilated a $ 10,000 hopital bill I could not afford to make payments and am now being sued for the money. my question is the law fim I am thinking about to represent me one of there attorneys was just appointed to judge (and assigned to my case) and he is from the same the law firm I was thinking of to represent me. Is this a good idea or not to hire this law firm?

The issue you are confronting is a very common one.

There is no reason why the firm from which the

judge was appointed can't represent you, unless

the case would possibly involve a hearing in

front of their former partner. Bankruptcies are in

federal court, while your former lawyer was

very likely appointed to a state court. He would

therefore have nothing to do with a chapter

7 bankruptcy. If anything, the fact that a

judge was drawn from it would tend to indicate

that this is a reputable firm.
