Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin

In a tight Spot!

I'm about to have a baby girl, and her fathers mother is now a fugitive on the run and believes that she is going to be able to see her new grandbaby. I do not agree with this, but I would like to know exactly what could happen say if we were to get caught taking this child to see her fugitive grandmother. I need support because I feel all alone like noone understands why I say Hell NO. Please Help me

Grandparents' Visitation in WI

Grandparents have very few rights of visitation in WI. Their visitation is therefore dependent upon the visitation rights of the parents (i.e., their son, who is the biological father). Aiding anyone with an active arrest warrant also constitutes the crime of aiding a fugitive in WI. You could therefore potentially be arrested and jailed for assisting a fugitive in visiting a child (unless the fugitive first surrenders to authorities or resolves the problems via other means).
