Even though WI does have a community property law, you can indeed still be criminally charged for destruction of marital property, since only 1/2 is yours and you presumably had no permission to destroy your wife's share of the "community" ownership between you. Additional, the crime of arson applies to intentionally burning of property, even with permission, as would disorderly conduct and many other offenses against public peace and order. You should therefore discuss your case with an experienced criminal lawyer as soon as possible, and you should certainly quit burning cars or destroying any property, regardless of the justification which you feel.

Instead, if things are that bad between you, you should consider ending the marriage by divorce or legal separate. My comments in this online forum are not intended as legal advice to anyone, nor do they create an attorney client relationship between us, unless you subsequently retain me and revisit the issue with me later.
