Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

Blood testing and DNA testing

I would like to know the basis on the differences between DNA and the old blood tests for child support. When they took blood tests is it only to find the type of blood that both parents have or does it accurately tell the specific parents????

Re: Blood testing and DNA testing

Blood tests for paternity have changed considerably over the years,

mostly for the better. A few decades or more ago,

they had nothing more than comparison of blood types.

Various genetic markers were gradually added, eventually

leading to the DNA tests of today, which are very

specific. I therefore am unable to respond without

knowing when this particular test occurred.
