Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

Joint Custody

How can I best represent myself in court against a crazy woman? She says she wont increase me child support if I hyphenate my sons name. I know this is another game. He will be 11 this month.I am currently pretty lucky to be paying a set amount years ago that is not that high. I am the one who initiated paternity and child support so I didnt have to play her games and get my visitation. I am making more money. I feel that I should now go for joint custody. I have climbed out of debt and paid all my arrears.

First, child support can always be modified. that means even if you agreed to a hyophenated name, the mother could still increase child support.

Second, you may be aboe to seek joint physical placement if you canb demonstrated that there has been a change in circumstances and the joint placement is in the child's best intrests.
