Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

Stuck in Wisconsin

I have been with my boyfriend for 6 1/2 years. I want to leave him but financially I don't know how. Am I entitled to property or anything that he has? I know that I can get child support but after six and a half years what else can I get of his? We have 3 children together.

Re: Stuck in Wisconsin

Unlike many states, WI does not recognize

"common law marraige", so you will have

no marital rights unless married. Child

support for three children, however, is

automatically set at 28% of income once

paternity is established in court. You

own such other property, etc., as you

are able to prove in court that you

own through offerring payment receipts,

contracts, partnership agreements, etc.
