Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

Wisconsin appea;l

I am in Wisconsin. When the time has expired on submitting an appeal, what other options are available?

A court decsion was made in 2002 which clearly contridicts previous upper court decsions. The time expired for me to submit a direct appeal. In 2003 I submitted a habeas-corpus which is now on the federal level. However, I have also sought a 809.51 Rule (Supervisory writ and original jurisdiction to issue prerogative writ) which was denied becasue they said that the time expired on the significant issues and recently submitted a 809.50 Rule (Appeal from judgment or order not appealable as of right)the appeals court denied it by indicating that I never filed an Appeal. It was my undeerstanding that once the time has expired on filing an appeal, doing so is fruitless.

The Fedral Judge has not decided upon the case becasue I am being given an opportunity to exhoust my remidies. What should I do next?

Hello,

Your question would be a complex one, even if I knew all the facts, which I do not. Research would have to be done, and analysis. The intricacies of appeals and litigation is the reason people hire experienced attorneys.

Best wishes, Mark J. Mahoney
