Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Wisconsin

Improper Serving
The company that I broke the contract with has not served me since I left to a different place. I am not sure if they even have a compliant against me.

Is there any way they could have served me if they didn't do it personally?

Can they request the jury to award a summary judgement against me?

There are a number of ways parties may be served,

including by publication. You would not be aware

of such service. The only way to check is to see

whether an action has been filed naming you as a

party. Wisconsin maintains a pretty good online

court system. You can look under Wisconsin Courts

and CCAP and do a search of your name. If the action

was started in another state, or if it is a federal

action, the above search would not work.
