Legal Question in Insurance Law in Wisconsin

Comprehensive auto insurance coverage claim

Is it legal to use money from a comprehensive coverage insurance claim for something other than was specified by the auto insurance company? For example, a check was issued for the repair of hail damage to our vehicle, and we want to use it to make a loan payment to the same vehicle.
