Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Wisconsin

I'd like to acquire the rights to the song "Xfire" by The Bens for use, in its entirety, in a short film I am working on. It would be used in the very first scene, and the entire song, throughout the film, would be used. The Bens' record label was BMG, which is now defunct. The Bens are no longer together as well. So, who do I ask for permissions to use this song, how much might you predict it cost, and what would be the easiest way to do such a thing?

As a Franchise Attorney I can only say the following. There must be another entity that acquired BMG's copyrights. This is not a questions that can be answered without looking into who is the current copyright owner of the song. After that, it's a matter of negotiating a price. The ultimate cost is not possible to predict. Consult with a good copyright or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
