Legal Question in Employment Law in Wisconsin

Pension

I was fired from Ameritch/SBC in 2000, they informed me that I had an accumulated pension of aprox 35,000 at that time.I have never heard anything from them since, I get no financial statements, no statements of any kind. I feel rather stupid since I have never contacted them about this.

I have no idea how to find out where this money is. The company has changed names a number of times and I have no idea who to contact. Is the company obligated to provide any information regarding this money ?

Thank You

Contact the Upper Midwest Pension Rights Project for such pension questions. It provides free advice and assistance. Check www.umprp.org for the contact info and ask for the Pension Rights Attorney at the WI office. Mention that I referred you as they track how clients find them.
