Legal Question in Employment Law in Wisconsin

Wrongful Termination

I was hired at an assisted living facility in which they

knew that I was 17. I was then told after about 2 weeks of

working there that I couldn't work there anymore because I

wasn't 18. I could do the job, and they knew that I was 17.

I was scheduled to work full time during the month of july.

What steps, if any, can I take to recieve the money that I

should have made in july? and Is this a case of age

discrimi

Re: Wrongful Termination

Hello,

Wrongful termination sounds nice as a legal theory, but it doesnt have much life these days. An employer can fire you for any reason or no reason, except discriminaton. And age discrimination is generally enforced the other way....firing an older person in favor of a younger person. My suggestion is to find another job. Sorry I couldnt be more helpful.
