Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Wisconsin

Unable to contact roommate

I am attempting to have our lease terminated for the fall, which the apartment management company is willing to do. The only holdup is that I need my roommate to sign his consent to the void of the lease.

I have been unable to contact him for the past week.

Is there any remedy to take in this matter? For example: could a letter/email again state the situation and proclaim that if he does not respond by a certain date that his response will be assumed to be a confirmation of the termination?

Are there other options?

Re: Unable to contact roommate

You should get his affirmative sign-off, or you may have to go to court for an eviction proceeding.

Where do you think he is?

Why would he not respond?
