Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Wisconsin

Desire to file suit

I would like to take the state of Wisconsin to court can find them accountable for allowing their state highway traffic to migrate to Langlade County roads. That this traffic puts local residences at risk and torments its people with a high-level of highway noise. For me, this noise is inhumane and is causing me to have shortcomings with depression and anxieties of anger; issues with sleeping and concentrating during the day on my work. I have a tremendous amount of lack of productivity that can be seen on my income taxes.

I would like to take Langlade County to court and find them accountable for accepting state highway traffic on County roads that are not rated for this type of traffic. To find them accountable for the torment of several years worth of nerve racking noise (anyone have a decibel meter?) and putting myself and guests at risk on a daily basis. For the destruction of the foundation of my home by allowing overweighed non passenger vehicles to go unmonitored through our community. I have articles from Madison newspapers to support this as well as a letter from Sen. Briske agreeing on my complaints.

I am seeking consultation and representation.

Sounds interesting, but definitely a long shot! State governments and their subdivisions are immune from suit except in very limited circumstances. Such suits are also loaded with procedural potholes, traps designed to destroy the case of the unwary litigant. These are carefully placed upon those state highways by a legislature which also desires not to be sued, including a 120 day statute of limitations which is measured from the date of "injury" (as defined by statute) to serve a formal notice of claim and notice of injury. I will not be representing you unless we negotiate additional financial arrangements.
