Legal Question in Personal Injury in Wisconsin

Abulance Bill

A year and 10 months ago I lost control of my car in the snow and hit a tree. And now one of the passengers wants me to pay his ambulance bill. Am I responsable for paying that?! It was his choose to take the ambulance, and all he had was a cut on his head that was just cleaned up at the hospital. The only reason we had a abulance was because my cousin was unconscious and the rest of us rode with, because we wanted to stay with him.

Re: Abulance Bill

If you were negligent in causing the collision, then you are legally responsible for any medical expenses, lost wages and pain and suffering experienced by those who who you injured. The medical expenses must be necessarily caused by the collision and the amount of the medical expenses must be reasonable in the amount. Most of the time, the ambulance treatment and bill will be found to be necessary and reasonable, so you will generally be found to be responsible for the charges.

Re: Abulance Bill

If you failed to exercise reasonable care in controlling your car, then yes, you are responsible for medical bills reasonably incurred by those you injured.
