Legal Question in Personal Injury in Wisconsin

Medical Bill Obligation

I was in Wisconsin and got punched at the bar. I called the police and filed a report and all that. I stated that I did not want to go to the hospital or have any medical attention. Later, I passed out and the cops found me, and took me to the hospital. I was not coherent to respond or talk with anyone, but I ended up getting a CAT scan and stitches and now have a bill that I will need to pay, after insurance, over $1000. Am I responsible for the bill since at one point I told them I did not want medical attention and did not give any consent to treat me?

Re: Medical Bill Obligation

Yes. You clearly needed the diagnostic testing. You should pay the deductible.
