Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Wisconsin

Co-sign for a rental property

If you co-signed for a rental property that you will not be living in and it was dated for a year lease, if after that time the party living in the rental doesn't pay their rent, Are you as a co-signer still liable as it is past the year's lease and they are renting month by month?

Re: Co-sign for a rental property

If the lease says it becomes a month to month lease after one year, then the same lease is still in effect, and it has just become a month to month lease. You then are still liable.
