How do i go about finding out if a deceased loved one had a will

If the deceased person had enough individual assets to require a probate, you can check at the office of the Register in Probate in the county in which the deceased resided at the time of death. And you could access CCAP on-line to see if a probate action has been commenced. See:http://wcca.wicourts.gov/index.xsl

Otherwise, as you describe this person as a loved one, you could simply ask those who were closest to the deceased.

In fact that would be about the only way to find out if there were not enough assets to require probate and/or if the deceased had a revocable trust instead.
