Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Wisconsin

im from Wisconsin and i was wondering how a would get a title for a car i purchased for part and did not get a title just bill of sale but now ended up getting it running and want a title.the owner has die and the family wants nothing to do with it .so how would i go about getting a new title if they don't want to deal with it?

Your lawyer can go to probate court and have you appointed special administrator of a dead person's estate if the family does not probate the estate, or you can file a claim if an estate has been started already in court (very short time limits, however). The probate court order then has the authority to issue any appropriate orders including one to re-title assets.
