Shoulder and Neck Injuries at Work

There would be no settlement under worker's compensation for a minor shoulder or neck injury with no permanent residual effects. For serous permanent injuries, workers compensation awards are determined by a judge and are based upon its severity and rough estimates of the injury's effect upon the worker's earning capacity. This assumes that the worker can prove that the injury was solely due to his work rather than due to numerous other medical conditions which can cause such problems (or due to an incident away from work).
