The laws regarding eviction make no distinction between apartments and single-family residences.

I read your question differently, although the answer is the same. It does not matter that the person who served you with a three day pay or quit lives in an apartment, such as a resident manager or other agent of the owner. It doesn't matter either that the owner also lives there.
