Dear Sir / Madam,

You will need to check and inquire on the applicability and the registration procedure and the registration charges payable, with the Chief Inspector of Shops & Establishments at the local Municipal Corporation Office / Nagar Panchayat Office in Tripura.

Important provisions of The Tripura Shops and Establishments Act, 1970 are :

1. Enterprise size: No explicit limit

2. Geographical applicability: Applicable only in notified (urban) areas

3. Industry and Sector: Shops, commercial establishments, theatres, hotels.

and restaurants.

In my opinion, a Finance company comes under the definition of "Commercial Establishment" under the act, and hence it should obtain a Shops & Establishment license.
