Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

Please let me know how can I claim my grandfathers property (no land document in my hand)

Please note that the missing original land document may be approximately eighty years old (during 1913).

Is it possible to get a copy of the land document from Register office in Kerala State, India.

What are the formalities to get a copy of land document from Register office in Kerala?

Iam his grandson. My grandfather has Three sons and Three daughters. Please let me know whether if property found, it has to be shared equally among his three sons and three daughters.

Pl. reply

Dear Sir,

You should first file an application requesting the District Tehsildar's Office for a certified true copy of the title deed of your grandfather's property. This will give you insights of what was your grandfather's intention should be done about his property after he is no more. If there are no indications about the beneficiary by way of a Will, then the land will have to be equally apportioned amongst his three sons and three daughters (1/6th share).
