Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Luxembourg

Dear sir/madam,

im from the Philippines and I went to luxembourg for work. i got a visa D to work my employer paid for my airfare. at first, my boss tried to register me at the ministry, but i slowly notice that they are not going to continue getting me a permanent stay. So, I told them I want to stop working because they made me work more than the hours we agreed. they told me that i cant leave right away, I must first stay for another month while they look for my replacement. i didnt get any salary from them, instead they made me sign a mail for the ministry saying i will stop my permanent stay and my file should be close, I feel that there are so many of my rights that have been violated. But since I never work in any European country, I would like to know if there is any of my rights violated, what should I do? Thanks.

Best regards,

Vicenta

Dear Vicenta,

The best way forward is for you to lodge your grievances at the Philippines Embassy and the Human Rights Violation Commission Office in Luxemborg. Let me caution you that your employment registration is solely dependent on the strength of your academic credentials to match the specific job description that your boss is registering you with the Ministry of Labour Office in Luxemborg. And anyway, you ought to have a return ticket to the Philippines, so if you feel nothing is moving or happening your way, thus depart on the next available flight back home.

Regards,
