Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in United Arab Emirates

my father has unpaid credit card in uae, due to recession he lost his job and he is now in the philippines, my question now sir, some collector coming to our house and insisting for the payment, and harrassing us and saying that they will sue my father for a criminal case? can we make a complain for this people? do they have the right to do that to us, since the transaction made in united arab emerates.

Dear Sir / Madam,

Your father cannot run up a huge credit card outstanding and coolly go and sit quiet in his hometown back in the Philippines. If not your father, you obviously have to settle all your father's outstanding dues and close the matter for good. If you complain to the Police or the Sharia Court in the UAE, it will only hasten the recovery process, and you will be made to pay up and settle your father's dues even more sooner and faster.
