if a minor commits a murder, stands trial while a minor but will be adult ages when sentenced, will sentence be as a minor or as an adult

If the minor is over 18 by the time that sentence is imposed they can be sentenced as an adult. However, given that the accused was still a minor at the time that the offence was committed, the statutory minimum sentence of 15 years will not be applicable. In addition, the fact that the accused is still youthful and therefore a good candidate for rehabilitation will count in his/her favour.
