Legal Question in Family Law in India

have a 1n a half year old son. My husband has passed away just a month before. Can i get a share in property in my in-laws property on my son's behalf. I ve heard grand son has a right in grand father's and grand mother's property. One property is on my father in laws name and the other two on my mother in laws name.

Can i get my share?

If i remarry, can i claim den also on my son's behaf?

Please advice according to indian law....

You may claim from your husbands property, but as of now not from your in-laws share. Yes your son has all the right only in the ancestral property and not in his grand fathers self acquired property. His right stands even if you remarry. To know us better, please click on the links below:

Your son may have aright in the property but if it is a self acquired property of your parents in law then the rights will be limited.
