Legal Question in Family Law in India

Can I claim expenses from grooms father, incurred by me, towards hiring marriage hall, for marriage function of my daughter? Brief details are as follows.

The boy has decided to part ways (mutual divorce) with my daughter due to differences; and from practical point of view, girl stayed only for 1 month at in-laws house.

Grooms father insisted to hire marriage hall, located nearer to their house, and also convenient to their relatives, guests & friends. This hall was posh & expensive. And this posh marriage hall was inconvenient for me (brides father) and relatives, guests & friends. My hometown is located around 1000Km away from grooms house; and thus marriage hall at my home town would have been most convenient/economical for me, my relatives, my guests & friends. However I agreed for expensive marriage hall, in the intrest of my daughter's happiness, in her married life.

In the first few days after marriage, my daughter came to know hidden facts about boy; my daughter queried the same repeatedly, but boy tried to dodge the question, behaved as if he had not heard the question, and gave incoherent answers, and became annoyed. The family started behaving rudely, ill-treatment, remarking her character, family values etc.; abusing to daughter, making baseless remarks on her (stating she is behaving stupidly, she is fool, she has no right to ask the boy, as a wife does not have a right to ask him anything). In-laws have got views that boy is innocent, boys level is always higher than girls level & hence boy is boy & girl is girl; and girl is mischievous.

Meanwhile boy decided to shift to other metropolitan city, 3-4 months after marriage, and he shifted 4 months after marriage, and he asked girl to resign and shift with him. As the in-laws were in the habit of demanding separation frequently, the girl was unwilling to take risk of resigning a good job, at Mumbai. We had told before marriage that girl will not leave her Mumbai job and hence her preference/expectations was that the groom boy must be working in the Mumbai only. The boy never gave inkling about his search for a new job in other city. So this is a violation of girls preferences; breach of trust.
