Legal Question in Family Law in India

Hi,

I am planning to get married soon.

My girl friend got divorce in July 2013, Her maiden name was Shetty and after marriage she changed her surname to Bhosale. Which is still on her all documents. Now I want to know if she should change her surname back to her maiden name in order to get married to me or we can do court marriage directly with her maiden name as she do not want her name in any document with surname Bhosale .

Kindly guide us to know what we should do now with procedures in Mumbai.

Thank you.

Divorce decree is sufficient, but for registration of marriage only your documents are requires, so better to change her surname in required two documents.else court may not entertain your registration.

Good Luck
