If a hindu women loges fir under section 498a on grounds of cruelity and domestic violence after seven years of marriage then what plea can be taken by opposite party.Does it makes any difference if fir is loged after two to three months when she has been by her left himself to her matrimonial home fradaulently promising to take her back after two months. The lady has suffered continuos mental n physical harassment from past seven years. What exactly happens on filing fir.The opposite party is very reluctant to give alimony n all her belongings including jewellary is at her martrimonial home.Can she lawfully go to her house to take her belongings.

On filing a FIR u/s 498 the opposite party gets arrested and will be produced in Court. Yes she can lawfully go to take the jewellery.
