Legal Question in Family Law in India

Marriage between first parallel cousins

I am in love with my 1st cousin (the daughter of my mother's older sister). And we want to get married, I have a few doubts that I would like to clarify :

Q. Are these kinds of marriages can be made legal ? I did go through the hindu marriage act before writing this e-mail to you. Our family has no traditional

customs of marrying cousins. But, still, someone suggested me that there is something called a ''special marriage act'' in which such marriages

turn legal. Is it true? or is there any other way to turn this legal (like if we move out of country or change our religion).

Both of us are hindus.

Not true. The marriage is prohibited under law and would be illegal. Yes, conversion is the only solution but I would not advise for the same.
