Legal Question in Family Law in India

I had married with a guy who lives out of India. I lived with him only 4 days after marriage. After that I am living with my parents because of some problems. After few months we decided to take divorce on mutual consent and my lawyer told me that you have file the case after completing 1 year of marriage and you will get divorce after 6 months on mutual consent after filing the case and I did the same. After completing of 1 year he send a power of attorney but there was some problem in his attorney that is not verified of the Govt. of that country. Now he is creating problem to send again power of attorney and delaying the matter. please tell what should I do now to get divorce as early as possible or also suggest can I remarry if I change my religion or any laws there which help me. Also suggest if there is a chances of annulment.

With out his consent consent divorce can not be obtained from court. Move the court for divorce on the ground of cruelty, desertion etc.,. If your marriage was not consumatted file a suit to declare the said marriage as null and void. In any caSE, YOU HAVE TO WAIT TILL THE MARRIAGE IS DISSOLVED BY A DECREE OF DIVORCE OR BY DECLARATION OF THE COURT THAT THE SAID MARRIAGE ITSELF IS VOID, CHANGE OF RELIEGION OR OTHERWISE YOU CAN NOT REMARRY during the subsistence of earlier marriage and while the other spouse is aliva.
