Legal Question in Family Law in India

I have been married since last 9 years with no kids. Me and my husband does not live together due to incompatillity and difference in thoughts since last 2 years. Prior to that I stayed with him just because our parents insisted but even before that I was living away from him at my parents home for more than 2 years. In that period, I fallen for some other guy working with me and also had short term relationship. But my husband came to know the truth and he started harassing me for that. Now he is not ready to give me divorce and keeps harassing me daily by using offensive language.
I have heard that any marriage gets ultimately dissolve if any relationship is kept by either of the spouse other than with partner. Is this true? And if yes, what case shall I file to get rid of this marriage as soon as possible which is left just on papers? Please advice.
