Legal Question in Family Law in India

Hello Sir,

I am adopted child (27 yrs) of my parents. I was adopted from the sister of my adoptive mother as they didn't had any children. My father has expired 4 months ago. Since my childhood, my adoptive mother is mentally harassing me stating that I'm not their child, so I should die or leave the house. Till now, after the death of my father (4 months ago), she has the same ill behaviour towards me. Now, she carelessly tells me to leave and earn to live and threats that she will not give a single penny from the property. She transferred all the property of my father on her name while he was ill and now became selfish about all the property. She regularly says ill words to me and I have all the recordings in her voice. I have no job and no money of my own. I tensed about my future as how will I survive.

When my father was ill, I took care of him for 3 years after leaving my job. At that time , she used to console me as not worry about my future as all was mine. And now, she has totally gone off her words.

Please provide me the solution. I have gone in depression as I have not got any money to start a fresh and do job. I am feeling totally cheated.

1) It is not clear her such negative intentions as stated by u, particularly when u r the only child to her, that too adopted from ur mother's own sister as to how she wanted to devolve the properties bequeathed to u by ur father.

2) May be she doesn't want to alienate at least ur share to u during her life time with the apprehension of ur spending unnecessarily away waste instead of saving without job and not take care of her during old age.

3) How ur father transferred the property in her name is important. Whether the property was ancestral or self acquired is unknown. Ur right depends upon the nature of property and its mode of transfer.
