Legal Question in Family Law in India

I am currently having trouble with my wife and now the only option left for us is divorce. Now as per the new law after Hindu Marriage Act amendment after divorce the wife will get share in husbands inherited and inheritable property.

My question is as i am not living with my parents and the house in which they live in this case will my wife have claim share on it after divorce ? The house is in name of my mother and father.

I don't claim any share on the house which is hard earned money of my parents and security for their old age which i don't want in any way be shared by my wife.

What are the possible way i can stop inheritance of this property. Will my converting to another religion from Hindu or my parents making a will or anything will help ?

The amendment is not enacted yet. It has been passed by cabinet not by parliament. It has no effect yet.

If you are going through divorce, let it go. Allow the law to be enacted, then only an opinion can be given.

Conversion to other religion will not help. You should think of ways and means for providing maintenance / alimony to your wife. Make an attempt for an out of court amicable settlement and avoid litigation as far as possible.
