Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

I am Mrs. Chitra Anto from Bangalore. My father has a land in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.

He passed away in 2008. The property documents need to be transferred in my mother's name. Pl. confirm whether "family tree" needs to be obtained for this transaction . For you info, my father is not a govt employee and my mother is residing in Bangalore, Karnataka and I am their only daughter.

Family Tree is not required. A certificate showing the name and address of the Legal Hires may be required. Please inquire at the Tehsildar's Officer where the property is situated.
