Being Sued For Credit Debt

Hi I Am being Sued For Credit Debt.I Bought An Item On My Card 4 yrs Ago.The Item Was Damaged It Had Threads Coming Out Of It.Uneven Pillows,The Fold Out Bed Wouldnt Pull Out And The Sides Of It Also had sewed in pleated places that shouldnt have been there.the furniture place was very rude and would not take item back or refund my card.i sent a dispute and pictures to credit card company they took thde balance off and then 6 months later added the charge back.I have 12 days to decide what to do. 2 days has gone by already.i have no property i am on disability because of health problems and due to birth and mental and emotional problems.i dont even have a car or drive.the debt was sold to someone and they are the ones suing me. the couch was bought for mama but we didnt pay because of the defects.canyou please give me some advice please? thank You!The Card Used Was A Visa Card.the furniture store that i bought it from was shut down for not paying taxes.

Often times the debt buyer who sues you cannt prove they own the debt. Don't just agree that they own the debt. Make them prove that at trial.

It may be too late to argue you don't owe the money since it looks like 3 1/2 years ago they put the charge back on your credit card. But just because you owe money to the credit card company does not mean you owe money to whoever CLAIMS they bought the debt.
