Legal Question in Criminal Law in Alabama

Ok so heres my case: My mother was murdered 10/2005 by her boyfriend. He was a felon His guns were sized and then return by someone. (either the state or his sister). We havent went to trial , we had a date for 10/29/07 but it is being postponed for the second time because our prosector will be out of town. We have the worse VA anyone can ask for, she doesnt call us, it takes weeks for her to call us back, she never has any information. When we ask question we never get an answer, we have asked several times what is the status of the case and its always well its a long process and it takes time just be patience. Its been two years I know no more then the day it happened. Im pissed because someone should be responsible for him getting the gun back, we never received any of my moms personal belongings from their house, now his brother lives there. I have tried to contact the prosecutor direct they won't let you talk to her they have the va call you back. I have wrote the attorney general once again I got a call from the va telling me it takes time and she doesnt know the answer to this or that.Im Lost and Ready to Give up!! What should i do

Contact the FBI and advise them that he is a felon and in possession of firearms. It is a federal offense and they will do something about that.
