Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

Before my divorce my ex-wife and I purchased a vehicle that she wanted in the divorce. The first name on the loan is mine. In the divorce decree it states she was to take over responsibility of the vehicle and the payments. She is not doing so. I am receiving phone calls from the loan company and my ex had told me she can't afford the payments and she is going to let them take the vehicle. This is affecting my credit. Is she in contempt of court and if so what can I do about it? She is not doing what the judge has ordered.

If she can not pay for the car the answer is you can not get blood out of a turnip. If you are concerned about your credit, your might get her to give the car to you through a written agreement that would be the same as a contract and enforceable. Then you could make the payments or work out something with the loan company.
