Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama
I got a divorce less than a year ago. I was sick and on medication when I signed the divorce papers.
I did not understand that I was agreeing to pay an additional 150.00 month alimony for five years on top of my child support payment. Is there I can do now to change thia. I live in Alabama.

To modify a divorce decree once finalized and after the time for appeal has passed, you must file what is known as a petition to modify. You must show a material change in circumstances has now occurred and the document should be modified. If you would like to discuss further please contact me.
