Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

my ex wife lives in Indiana and has custody of my two kids, I do have visitation, she plans on getting remarried and moving to England with the kids, my son does not want to go and has said more than once he does not want to go and would rather live in Alabama with me, doesnt she have to have my permission to take my kids out of the country. and what can I do to get my son he will be 13 in Oct. we also have a court date in Nov. she is trying to lower my visitation time with the kids and I cant afford a lawyer at this time

It really depends on where the divorce was granted, the state. Was it Alabama? If so, she has to give you written notice by certified mail with specific information. Then it is up to you to file a petition with the court to modify custody and to object to the movement stating why it is not in the best interest of the children.
