Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Alabama

we rent a home in alabama. we signed a lease with our original landlord. he has since sold the property. we have not been presented with a new lease from the new owner. does the original lease still stand or has it been broken by the owner?

The original lease is controlled by its own terms. If it says it renews automatically, or something like that, and it did renew automatically, the landlord owns the home subject to your lease. If the lease did not renew, then you are living there on a month to month tenancy (if you pay monthly). Look at your lease. Get help from a lawyer if it is not clear to you.
